2-vehicle crash in Crystal Lake sends driver to hospital, fire official says

CRYSTAL LAKE – One person was sent to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash Tuesday on Rakow Road in Crystal Lake, a fire official said.

The crash occurred about 4:10 p.m. after one car hit the side of the other, Crystal Lake Fire Department Battalion Chief Chris Kopera said. 

Three lanes of James R. Rakow Road were temporarily closed off at Virginia Road.

Kopera said he could not provide the extent of the person’s injuries or what hospital the victim was sent to.

Crystal Lake and Algonquin-Lake in the Hills fire departments also responded. 

Police could not immediately be reached for more information.
