High school boys soccer roundup: Prairie Ridge's Marconi scores twice in win over Cary-Grove

Prairie Ridge managed to stay unbeaten and earn its first Fox Valley Conference win Tuesday with a 2-1 victory over host Cary-Grove.

Nick Marconi scored both goals to lead the Wolves (8-0, 1-0 FVC).

Riley Conroy scored for the Trojans (1-4-1, 0-1) off an assist from Oscar Leon.

Lockport 4, Huntley 3 (5-4 PK): The Red Raiders fell to the Porters in an overtime shootout (5-4) in the PepsiCo Showdown.

Sal Anieri scored a goal and assisted on two others for the Raiders (3-6). Drew Landoch scored in the first half and Adam Kaster scored late to force the tie, both on assists from Anieri.

Plainfield North 3, Harvard 2 (5-4 PK): At the PepsiCo Showdown, Harvard came back from a 2-0 halftime deficit but could not beat Plainfield North in penalty kicks.

Alexis Robles and Leo Garcia each scored goals in the second half. The Hornets had a few chances to win in regulation but could not find the back of the net.
