WOODSTOCK – PCI Pharma Services has announced plans to close its Woodstock branch.

PCI is an integrated service provider that works with companies in the global health care field. It offers manufacturing, clinical and commercial services worldwide, according to its website.

The Woodstock branch, 2200 Lake Shore Drive, offers office administrative services and plans to shutter by May 15, according to a notice submitted to the state of Illinois.

The 74 employees who work at the Woodstock office have been offered jobs at PCI’s other U.S. locations, Justin Schroeder, senior executive director of global marketing and design with PCI, said.

PCI was leasing the Woodstock facility from another company, which decided it no longer wanted to lease the property. The Woodstock operations will be consolidated to PCI’s Rockford office, which employs about 1,800 people, Schroeder said.

PCI also has a site in Philadelphia, as well as international locations throughout Europe and in Japan.

A notice on the company’s website posted Monday announced PCI’s intent to acquire Australia-based Pharmaceutical Packaging Professionals.
