Police seize marijuana, cocaine from Crystal Lake home

A Crystal Lake man and woman remained at the McHenry County Jail on drug charges Tuesday after police said they found marijuana and cocaine in the couple’s home.

Crystal Lake police used a warrant about 6 a.m. Monday to search a home in the
300 block of East Crystal Lake Avenue, according to a news release.

During the search, officers found about 113 grams of marijuana and 8 grams of cocaine, a criminal complaint filed in McHenry County court shows.

Some of the drugs appeared ready to be sold and delivered, according to the release.

Police arrested 64-year-old James M. Fulton at the home, and later found and arrested 58-year-old Robin Fulton, the release stated.

Each has been charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

The most serious charge, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, typically is punishable by as many as
15 years in prison.

Bond for the couple is set at $100,000 each, meaning they individually would need to post $10,000 to be released. Both are due in court Thursday.

The investigation is ongoing, and police expect additional charges, according to the release.
