Let's end seasonal time changes
To the Editor:
Once again it is that time of year when we get frustrated, aggravated and just upset. No it's not the election, it's changing the clocks.
Looking back at history I didn't realize that it was first thought of by Benjamin Franklin. But why ? Why do we have to do it ? In these modern times why can't we just leave the clocks alone.
I know it would take a act of Congress to change it and that would mean that Washington would have to work and we all know that work is a nasty word in Washington.
I have been reading where most or all of Europe is thinking of doing away with it. So why can't we? Every spring and every fall we go through the hassle of trying to find all the clocks and change them and every season we manage to miss one. And also every season we complain about readjusting to the change.
Maybe it's time to contact Congress and ask them to finally just do it.
