To the Editor:
The election is over. A breath of fresh air. No more candidates bashing each other in TV political campaigning; many fewer robo telephone calls; fewer recyclable items in the mailbox. But, I wonder what would happen if 10 percent of the money spent on the political campaigns in Illinois - especially the race for governor - would have been donated to organizations which aid the homeless, the hungry, the veterans, etc. Where would the greater impact be?
