To the Editor:
The snow comes and then it goes, only to return again. For most of us seniors, we don’t care for the snow, but it does serve a purpose.
You see, I drive a lot of the highway, byways and the back roads in the area, and I take notice of all the garbage, trash and junk that is along our roads.
And the plastic bags? All over. Our new governor says he needs money. Put a 25 cent fee on every plastic bag. San Francisco charges, so why can’t we?
But of the garbage, yes when it snows, the snow does cover up a lot of it. But in all reality, it shouldn’t be there in the first place.
What is wrong with taking your beverage cup home and disposing of it properly? It’s cold outside; keep the car window up, and please don’t toss your trash out the window.
Someone will have to pick it up, and a lot of times it will be a state or county worker who is making more money than you.
