Letters to the Editor

Letter: What's going on?

To the Editor:

“Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord, God Almighty! God in three persons, blessed Trinity,” the old hymn declares. The principles of the word of God were used to frame the foundation pillars of our great nation.

Yet, now more than half of our government leaders, much of our news media, Hollywood and even some of our clergy have chosen to be a part of the parade of evil campaigning across our country.

Those involved are easy to identify. Evil always denies what God proclaims good and always promotes what God opposes. And, so do they! Our God is the God of the living. Their god is death and destruction.

Have you noticed that these people are never happy? Do you wonder why much of what they say doesn’t make sense? They promise to take away all your consequences for bad decisions and behaviors while letting responsible residents pay for the cost.

Evil’s most effective weapon has always been the lie. We all have seen the pain that character assassination causes.

With this parade of evil, the truth always is discouraged or misrepresented. They cannot help themselves. “They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart,” (Ephesians 4:18) is the reason.

That’s why a desire for open borders, sanctuary cities, lawlessness, targeting law enforcement officers, abortions, same-sex marriage and a need to refer to illegal immigrants as undocumented Dreamers exists.

Having our White House lit up with specific colors, throwing parades and changing laws doesn’t make wrong right.

After all, when everything is said and done, we are not going to be judged by Planned Parenthood or any political party, but, only by our creator, God! Whose side do you choose?

“The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul” (Psalm 121:7).
