A McHenry man was sentenced Friday to four years of probation in connection with a string of allegations that came to light in January.

Jordan Scaccianoce, 24, accepted an offer from the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office on Friday and pleaded guilty to attempted criminal sexual assault.

In addition to his probation sentence, Scaccianoce, of the 3900 block of Main Street, must serve 180 days in the county jail and register for life as a sex offender, McHenry County Judge Michael Coppedge ordered. Scaccianoce also is barred from having any contact with the victim.

According to a criminal complaint filed in McHenry County court, the alleged assaults occurred between 2013 and 2015 and took place at several locations throughout the county.

Huntley police officers received a report in December 2018 alleging several instances of sexual abuse, Huntley Deputy Police Chief Michael Klunk has said.

Detectives from Huntley, Lake in the Hills and Crystal Lake corroborated the accusations and worked with the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office to file criminal charges, Klunk said.

Scaccianoce was charged with multiple counts of criminal sexual assault – a felony that typically is punishable by four to 15 years in prison. The additional charges were dismissed as a condition of Scaccianoce’s plea deal.
