Jim Belushi comes to Crystal Lake’s Raue Center stage

Jim Belushi brings to the Raue Center stage an improvised comedy sketch show featuring members of the Board of Comedy.

The downtown Crystal Lake venue will welcome Jim Belushi on Friday, Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. Belushi will be accompanied by Megan Grano, Larry Joe Campbell and Joshua Funk.

It's less a ‘show’ and more a party. At least it feels like one to me,” Jim Belushi said in a release on the Board of Comedy bio. “This group of actors brings me right back to how I started out in comedy – maybe that's why we have so much fun doing it."

Belushi boasts more than 30 years of experience as an alumnus of “Saturday Night Live” and Chicago’s famous Second City. Megan Grano is also a SNL alum who has appeared on various TV shows including “Parks and Recreation” and “Conan.”

Larry Joe Campbell spent eight years working with Belushi on “According to Jim,” while Joshua Frank is an award-winning director and alum from The Second City. Frank’s television credits also include Key & Peele, Reno 911 and Wild n’ Out.

Tickets start at $55, and this highly anticipated event is expected to sell out.

Tickets can be purchased at www.rauecenter.org, or through the Box Office at 815-356-9212 or 26 N. Williams St. in downtown Crystal Lake. The box office is open Monday through Saturday from Noon to 4 p.m.

RaueNOW members also get early access to newly announced events, access to member only lounge 26N, backstage and meet and greet opportunities in addition to reduced ticket prices.
