In light of Gov. JB Pritzker’s shelter-in-place order, Dorr Township and Catholic Charities will provide carryout meals to anyone older than 60.
The township will close its 1039 Lake Ave., Woodstock, building to the public in accordance with Pritzker’s order, but will continue to take phone calls and respond to emails and messages within 24 hours, according to a news release. Catholic Charities also will deliver hot meals to the township building each Wednesday, available for carryout.
The meals will be served on trays and ready for pickup up between 11:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. each Wednesday at the community room entrance, according to the release. Use of meeting rooms for all groups has been postponed for the next eight weeks. Instead, meals will be delivered directly to each vehicle for a suggested donation of $5.
Anyone seeking additional information or looking reserve a lunch, should call Dorr Township at 815-338-0125.
