McHenry County reported 30 new cases of COVID-19 and no additional deaths attributed to the virus Monday.
McHenry County was home to 1,437 positive cases of COVID-19 and 69 deaths, according to the McHenry County Department of Public Health. Monday marked the third consecutive day the county reported no new deaths.
Of those positive cases, 292 were associated with long-term care facilities while 1,083 were not, according to the MCDH’s most up-to-date data.
Nearby, Kane County reported 5,846 positive cases and 152 deaths while Lake County recorded 7,762 cases and 234 deaths. DeKalb County saw fewer cases, with 335 positive cases as of Monday and three deaths.
With 263 positive cases, McHenry saw the largest number of cases in the county, followed by Woodstock with 261.

Crystal Lake (60014) had 253 confirmed cases, Harvard (60033) had 142, Lake in the Hills (60156) had 124 and Algonquin (60102) reported 127 cases.
Cary (60013) reported 74 cases; Crystal Lake, Bull Valley and Prairie Grove (60012) had 70; Marengo (60152) had 67; Johnsburg and McHenry (60051) had 85; Huntley (60142) 78; Wonder Lake (60097) 38; Spring Grove (60081) 35; Fox River Grove (60021) 18; Island Lake (60042) 28; and Richmond (60071) seven.
