To the Editor:
OK. One last time: You are not voting to tax the millionaires and billionaires at a higher rate. You will never be able to vote on which groups pay higher income tax rates.
Right now, you are voting to give the Illinois legislature the power to raise rates on any income level they choose (or as directed by Mike Madigan).
A writer observes that 32 states have graduated rates, and it works very well. Though not mentioned, it works especially well for the 11 states where the top tax rate kicks in around $38,000. They only wish they were millionaires.
Protect yourself and your family from escalating taxes. Vote no!
