Raue Center is pleased to announce the rescheduled dates for its Amy Grant concert and for the Williams Street Repertory's production of Native Gardens.
Six-time Grammy Award winner Amy Grant is a multi-platinum recording artist who many believe put Christian music on the map. This singer-songwriter, author, TV host and speaker was the first in the genre to earn a platinum record, hit number one on the Pop charts, and perform at the Grammys. On April 9, 2021 at 8:00 p.m., Grant will treat the audience to her biggest hits. Tickets for next year's event go on sale Tuesday, April 7, 2020. Act now so you don't miss your chance to see this fantastic performer!
"It's so wonderful to work with artists who are amazing people on stage and off," said Richard Kuranda, Executive Director of Raue Center. "We cannot wait to welcome Amy back to our stage once again!"
As part of Governor Pritzker's statewide mandate to help contain the spread of the coronavirus, Williams Street Repertory will suspend its spring 2020 performances of Native Gardens. The rescheduled production will open on January 15, 2021, and run through February 14, 2021. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday, April 7, 2020. Purchasing tickets now will help support the artists and arts organizations that are suffering from having to postpone the events.
"I'm delighted to see this show back in the schedule. We are in unprecedented times, and we could all use a good laugh. I am so proud of the work the cast and creative team on this production have made together," said Kuranda. "However, I'm heartbroken for this entire team led by the amazing Michele Vazquez. Her passion and vision for this piece are amazing, and I am positive people will love it when it ’ s finally mounted!” Show times are available at www.rauecenter.org .
"It's worth - after all this - coming together," added Michele Vasquez, Director of Native Gardens.
